Short-Term Parking Facilities
The cruise terminal at Canada Place has short-term parking available for picking up and dropping off cruise passengers.
For private cars picking up passengers from the Canada Place cruise terminal, the following information clarifies where to go, which is different from where private cars drop off embarking passengers:
- Enter Canada Place ramp and speak with a Port Metro Vancouver Traffic Attendant.
- Receive parking instructions from the Traffic Attendant.
- Proceed down to the parkade.
- Take ticket from parkade dispenser. If pick up is completed within 15 minutes, parking is free.
- Drive and park on either P1 or P2.
- To access terminal, locate 1 of the 2 red elevators - in centre or west side and go to CS level.
- Find your passengers in the Public Greeting area of the Main Lobby of the Cruise Ship Terminal.
Long-Term Parking Facilities

The Vancouver International Airport (YVR), services more than 20 major international and regional air carriers. The city centre is approximately 30 minutes from the airport. Shuttles, taxis and limousines are readily available to transport passengers to the cruise ship terminal. See YVR to learn more.
Advanced transportation reservations are recommended when traveling from our cruise terminal to your final destination, in order to avoid potential delays on peak demand days. The Canada Place cruise terminal is serviced by regular shuttles and buses to major destinations, as well as city taxis, car rental companies, limousines and public transit.
Shuttle & Tours
Visit our ground transportation desks, operated by West Coast Sightseeing, conveniently located at the Canada Place cruise terminal to purchase shuttle or tour tickets. Regular shuttle service is provided from to the airport and Richmond hotels as well as downtown hotels. Regular bus service from Vancouver to Seattle's SeaTac airport and to Victoria is also available.
West Coast Sightseeing also offers daily sightseeing tours in and around Vancouver. They operate the Big Bus and Pink Bus hop-on, hop-off city tours and offer daily trips to Whistler, Victoria, and North Vancouver. Visit West Coast Sightseeing to view a full list of sightseeing options.

Rental car kiosks are available and include: Alamo, Avis and National. Passengers need to pre-arrange pick-up or drop-off with the rental company in advance.
Canada Place terminal is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, right by Waterfront station which is serviced by buses, the SeaBus (to North Vancouver), the West Coast Express commuter train and the SkyTrain. The Canada Line, SkyTrain's newest line, provides rapid transit directly to Vancouver International Airport.

A limited number of limousines are available on-site. Please make arrangements directly with limousine companies for confirmed pick-up and drop-off. Contact a Traffic Attendant at Canada Place for further assistance.
All taxi vehicles serving the Canada Place cruise ship terminal are six years old or newer, most of them hybrid, and drivers have completed comprehensive training courses in safe driving, customer service and assisting persons with special needs.
Our terminal signage reflects the following rates: taxis charge a metered rate based on time and distance travelled, the approximate fare to/from the airport is approximately $30-$35 and (inclusive of all taxes) under normal conditions. Fares from Canada Place to downtown hotels can range from $11-$13. A complete list of rates follows:
