Port hosts stakeholder information session

On May 5, 2009, Port Metro Vancouver hosted an information session for customers and commercial stakeholders regarding the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Following a brief presentation, a panel convened to discuss topics of interest, including security, marine operations and surface transportation.

On May 5, 2009, Port Metro Vancouver hosted an information session for customers and commercial stakeholders regarding the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Following a brief presentation, a panel convened to discuss topics of interest, including security, marine operations and surface transportation.

Opening remarks were made by Chris Badger, Port Metro Vancouver's Chief Operating Officer, followed by a project overview presentation by Graham Kee, Vice President of Operations & Security for Port Metro Vancouver.

Panellists included, from Port Metro Vancouver, Dennis Bickel, Senior Manager, Supply Chain, Yoss Leclerc, Harbour Master, and Melanie Costley, Senior Manager, Security, as well as Dan Guilfoyle with the Vancouver 2010 Integrated Security Unit, Andrea Manchon from VANOC, and Stephen Brown, Executive Director of the Western Marine Community Coalition. The discussions were moderated by Scott Galloway, Director of Trade Development for Port Metro Vancouver.
