Deltaport Terminal, Road and Rail Improvement Project

  • Project Update – January 2014

    The Deltaport Terminal, Road and Rail Improvement Project is a series of improvements to the existing Deltaport Terminal at Roberts Bank in Delta, B.C. The causeway overpass is the first component of the project to be built. Construction began in March 2013, and is expected to reach completion in late 2014.

    Phase 4 construction activities will run from January to March 2014 and will be limited to the vicinity of the planned causeway overpass site.

    Phase 2 and 3 construction is anticipated to begin in late August and continue until October 2013, with expected completion of the causeway overpass in late 2014.

    Port Metro Vancouver is beginning site preparation and preliminary work in and around Roberts Bank to help facilitate future construction of the Deltaport Terminal, Road and Rail Improvement Project. As part of this work, there will be a power outage on the Roberts Bank causeway for approximately eight hours on March 17, 2013.
