Obligations and responsibilities

Once you have obtained an agreement for tenure from Port Metro Vancouver’s Real Estate department, please be aware of certain obligations and responsibilities you may be required to carry out or deliver to Port Metro Vancouver during the term. These include provisions for insurance, environmental assessments and Port Metro Vancouver’s consent for construction within your leased premises.  

Environmental Assessment requirements

If your agreement with Port Metro Vancouver requires you to conduct environmental testing, please refer to the Environmental Baseline & Exit Assessment for Tenants. For more information, please contact Port Metro Vancouver’s Environmental Programs department.

Legal Survey requirements

If your agreement with Port Metro Vancouver requires you to obtain a legal survey, please refer to the Legal Survey Requirements Guideline. For more information, please contact Port Metro Vancouver’s Engineering department.

Documentation fee

The attached Fee Schedule sets out Port Metro Vancouver’s costs for preparing the various forms of agreements.  These fees are payable to Port Metro Vancouver at the time of signing an agreement.
